Government prosecutors in the gambling corruption trial here said the case was simple. They said it came down to “this for that”, an offer of something of value in exchange for a pro-gambling vote. Bribery. But after seven days of deliberations, a jury of 11 females and one male apparently could not decide on this, or that.

4:45 p.m. Jurors in the gambling corruption trial deliberated throughout Wednesday before breaking at 4:30 p.m., with no indication as to whether it is closer to breaking a deadlock. The jury will resume deliberations at 9 a.m. Thursday. .
5 p.m. -- Jurors in the gambling corruption trial told the judge Tuesday they have come to an agreement on some counts, but appear hopelessly deadlocked on others.
5:15 p.m. – The jury has ended deliberations for the day. Jurors sent a message to Judge Thompson at the end of the day, asking for permission to deliberate Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. instead of the regularly scheduled 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
4:55 p.m. – Jurors concluded deliberations Sunday afternoon in the gambling corruption trial. The jury will resume deliberations Monday at 8 a.m.
4:58 p.m. – Jurors are preparing to conclude deliberations for the day. They will resume deliberations at 1 p.m. Sunday.
3:50 p.m. – The jury has begun its deliberations and is expected to deliberate until 6 p.m. today.

5:27 p.m. – Jimmy Judkins, attorney for lobbyist Robert Geddie, ended the first day of closing arguments Wednesday. Six remaining defendants will hold closing arguments Thursday.
4:22 p.m. – U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson has issued official written orders dismissing Count 3 of the indictment and removing defendant Ray Crosby from the conspiracy count as well as the honest services fraud counts in the indictment.
After more than 100 pages of legal filings and eight hours of testimony Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson ruled the government in the bingo corruption trial has provided enough evidence against the nine defendants to allow all counts in the indictment to survive.
5:31 p.m. -- Arguments for acquittal have concluded. U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson said he would rule on the motions at 8 a.m. Thursday. The defense portion of the trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Thursday.
