DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays will be held Sunday, Nov. 22, at Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan from 2-4 p.m. The free, two-hour seminar uses videos of Christian counselors, psychologists and authors as will as a survival guide filled with daily readings to help people learn practical, effective strategies to make it through the holidays following a separation or divorce. A community interfaith Thanksgiving worship service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., Dothan. Father Patrick Gallagher of St. Columba Roman Catholic Church will preach with leaders of other faith communities participating in the service. A free will offering will be taken for the Wiregrass United Way Food Bank. Refreshments will be served in the parlor after the service. All area clergy are invited to process into the sanctuary together.

The Thanksgiving Gospel Music Spectacular will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Dothan Civic Center. The concert will feature Gold City, the McKameys, Kingsmen and the Perrys. No tickets required for admission, but a $10 donation will be requested at the door. A free will offering will also be taken during the concert for FCC Ministries in Oneco, Fla. Doors open at 6 p.m.; all seating is general admission.
