A benefit sing for Gene Hale will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 6 p.m. at Gateway Church on Highway 134 west of Headland featuring Crimson River, John Ard and the Grimes Gospel Lighthouse Singers. There will be no sing at the Grimes Gospel Lighthouse on this date. Sunday services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The annual Ozark-Troy District Sunday School Convention will be held June 18-20 at Greater St. Paul AME Church in Troy. This year’s theme is “Fulfilling our Faith Through Sunday School, Evangelism and Service.” The convention schedule will include Holy Communion services on Thursday at 7 p.m. with the message by the Rev. Lanice Bonds Sr., pastor of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Ariton and the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Ozark.
