Zion Chapel Baptist Church, 27057 Highway 87, Elba, will host a revival March 22-27 at 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday with a different speaker each evening. The Music and Worship Division at the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville will be performing “The Peaceable Kingdom” by Randall Thompson on Thursday, March 26, at 7 p.m. in the R.G. Lee Chapel. The concert will not only feature The College Singers in a 25-minute unaccompanied choral work based on passages found in the book of Isaiah, but will also include instrumental music from George Gershwin and performances by the Male Chorale, Women’s Ensemble, College Winds, and the BCF Music Faculty. The Knights of Columbus Thomas A. Dooley Council 6727 of St. Columba Catholic Church on West Main Street in Dothan will be holding fish fries every Friday in observation of Lent, except Good Friday. Plates of fish, sides, dessert and a drink will cost $6.50 each and can be purchased at St. Columba Catholic Church in O’Hara Hall on Fridays starting at 6 p.m. Plates are also available for take out. The South Georgia Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America will host the annual South Georgia Regional Conference on April 23-26 at Mitchell County High School, 1000 Newton Road, Camilla, Ga. The four-day conference will include an exhibit hall, workshop classes, mass choir rehearsal, lectures, new artist showcase, quartet division and a youth jam.
