Klondyke Gospel Music Center, located at 3885 Highway 123 S. between Newton and Ozark, will host the following groups: Junior Combs & Southern Joy from Baldwin, Fla., Saturday, Jan. 24; The Shireys from Columbia, S.C., Thursday, Jan. 29; and Perfect Peace from Alexander City, Saturday, Jan. 31. Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, Dale County Road 2, in Ariton will host a benefit auction, sing and supper for Paula Peters on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 4 p.m. Peters was in an automobile accident before Christmas and has undergone several surgeries and an extended stay at UAB Hospital. The Tri-States Southern Gospel Homecoming Choir will perform on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Camp Springs Baptist Church, 13205 Henry County Road 53, Columbia. The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church, Bonifay, Fla., will host Ashley Smith Robinson on Saturday, Jan 24. Robinson was taken hostage in her own apartment by Brian Nichols after he shot and killed several people at the Fulton County Courthouse. A time of praise and worship will be led by Stephanie Ford, formerly of Bonifay, now serving as a worship leader in Acworth, Ga. The annual Ozark-Troy District Founder’s Day celebration is set for Saturday, Jan. 24, at St. Matthew AME Church in Lockhart. Members of the Ozark-Troy District will assemble to celebrate the birth of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Ministers are asked to meet with the presiding elder at 9 a.m. The business session will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Hour of Power worship services. The message will be delivered by the Rev.
