Coffee County couple face drug, sodomy charges

A Coffee County couple were arrested and taken to jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, and the husband was also charged with first-degree sodomy of a child.
According to Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, investigators went to the couple’s residence on County Road 306, which is in the Newbia community in northwestern Coffee County, to execute a search warrant and investigation into the sexual abuse case.
The search warrant led to the discovery of a partial clandestine methamphetamine lab, a small amount of meth and several types of drug paraphernalia. Investigators and deputies also found marijuana growing outside the residence and discovered weapons inside the house.
Jonathan Rex Hodge, 30, was arrested on a warrant for sodomy; first and seconddegree drug manufacturing; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $878,000 bond. Angel Marie Hodge, 22, was arrested and charged with first and second-degree manufacturing; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is being held on $718,000 bond.
