Midland City woman charged with robbery in Wal-Mart parking lot

A Midland City woman faces a felony charge after Dothan police arrested her shortly after a robbery in the North Wal-Mart parking lot.

Dothan police Capt. Larry Draughon said Paula Michelle Everett, 29, of Mance Newton Road, was charged with felony third-degree robbery. Everett was charged with taking a purse from a woman in the parking lot around 11:45 p.m. Friday. The woman sufered minor injuries during the robbery, but managed to keep her purse.

Draughon said police arrested Everett after an officer across the street from the Wal-Mart spotted a vehicle that matched the description released from the robbery.
