Pansey boy denied youthful offender in sodomy case
A Dothan judge denied a youthful offender application Wednesday for a Pansey teenager charged with sodomy of a 4-year-old girl.
Ian Seth Hubbard, 16, was arrested earlier this year by Houston County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with first-degree sodomy.
Circuit Court Judge Butch Binford denied the application made by Shaun McGhee on behalf of his client, Hubbard.
District Attorney Doug Valeska argued against the YO status, and said Hubbard had admitted he had a drug problem with marijuana, cocaine and pills.
Valeska said Hubbard had also admitted to the crime and also had prior misdemeanor third-degree theft charge as a juvenile.
