Second rabies case confirmed in Houston County

Houston County’s second rabies case in 2009 was discovered on North County Road 55, inside the Ashford city limits, on April 27.
According to the county healthy department, a resident found a raccoon in their yard, and the Ashford police department requested it be tested for rabies.
