Three Dothan men face additional felony charges from a series of motor vehicle break-ins in the Taylor area.

Houston County Sheriff’s Capt. Antonio Gonzalez said all three men now face six felony counts of breaking into a motor vehicle. One of the men, Dylan Allums, 18, of Nottingham Way, faces an additional two counts after Dothan Police investigators arrested him Tuesday.

Sheriff’s investigators arrested Allums and two other men, Lance Widner, 18, and Joshua Carroll, 20, last week in connection to the break-ins. Gonzalez said more charges could be pending the completion of the ongoing investigation.

Allums is being held in the Houston County Jail on a $65,000 bond.

Widner, of Dee Clark Road, and Carroll, of Alex Circle, are both being held on a $60,000 bond each. Widner was previously arrested in June and charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance, according to court records.

The men were initially arrested after deputies responded to a report of people suspiciously looking into vehicles in the Landview neighborhood of Taylor during the early morning hours of Nov. 13.

As part of the investigation, deputies recovered some assorted power tools, car and electronic equipment worth an estimated $4,000 and about $300 cash.
