Clio council gives rescue squad the boot

The Clio Town Council voted Monday to stop the payment of insurance for the Clio Rescue Squad.
They also voted to remove the rescue squad vehicle from the rescue bay.
The motion was made by council member Ronnie Ivey and seconded by Jimmie Carpenter. When questioned by the audience on stopping payment and removing the vehicle, Clio Mayor David Grice citied “lack of service” by the rescue squad to the town of Clio.
City Clerk Vivian Hagler citied several occasions in which the rescue squad, which is a separate entity from the city, was slow in response or did not respond at all. Clio is currently relying on the towns of Eufaula and Clayton for emergency assistance.
The council suggested that several former rescue squad members attending the meeting should begin a new rescue squad for the town of Clio. The city would loan the squad its own ambulance to assist those in need.

Audit Clio Rescue Inc. and see where the missing $30,000 was spent. Home phone bills, personal cell phones, home internet service, personal clothing, runs that were never made. Yeah sounds like rescue business to me. GET A LIFE!!!!!! The run sheets are tainted because they are not missed runs when you put the unit out of service while you go to work. just another way to lie to the people.

THE STATS ON THE ANSWERED AND UNANSWERED CALLS CAME FROM THE 911 LOGS. VIVIAN HAGLER GOT ALL THIS B.S. PUT IN THE EUFAULA TRIBUNE AS WELL AS THE DOTHAN EAGLE, AND HAD NO FACTS TO BACK IT WHATSOEVER. ALL IS WELL ANYWAY BECAUSE THE DOCUMENTED FACTS WERE PRESENTED TO THE PAPERS AND THE TRIBUNE WILL PRINT THEM FOR ALL THE PEOPLE TO READ, IF THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR READERS GETTTING THE WHOLE TRUTH. THE IVEYS, SUTTONS, HAGLERS AND GRICES WILL ALL BE LEFT LOOKING REALLY STUPID WHEN THE TRUTH COMES OUT. As an EMT myself it takes more that just your memebers to make a squad work. You need your mayor, city council, and the citzens of your city backing you. I have never worked for a volunteer service but I know that it is hard when your help has other jobs. Some jobs will not let you just up and leave to go on a 911 or a medical transfer call. There are laws and protocols that must be followed that the state has set forth for everyone to follow. If it a money problem that Clio Rescue is having find someone else to handle your money. I wish you all the best in resolving this problem.
I attended the meeting last night and it was not that anyone was doing this out of meanness. When a girl is lying on the ground for 45 min with 3 previous clio rescue members holding a tarp over her. This is exactly why a new squad is being formed. We want to get this matter resolved before a death is a result of this.
Get an audit, your probably using the internet at your house paid for by Clio Rescue. Or maybe just give the paper a call with you land line or cell paid for by Clio Rescue.
The reason for the boot was not for the budget, it was because 3 people destroyed the once thriving rescue squad. If anyone has any questions about this just look in the phone book under Clio, call any name listed and they will inform you of the 3 reasons. This is a problem that has been going for ages. This is a great big step in fixing it!!!!!!
If anyone in Clio needs a rescue they will probably just call Louisville or Clayton, cause their the only one who will respond. If you would have kept the 15 EMT and Drivers you wrongfully removed then maybe it would have been a little better. The people of Clio should not worry because the new rescue squad will be 100% better.
