Double Springs man killed in Pike County crash
A Double Springs man died recently during a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 231 South near Brundidge, Pike County Coroner Jerry Williams said.
Robert John Woodruff, 75, of Double Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 11:45 p.m. Monday.
Woodruff was the driver of a large van and struck the back of an 18-wheel truck, ran off the roadway and down into a ravine off U.S. 231, Williams said.
The Brundidge Police Department, Alabama State Highway Patrol, and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the accident
