Visitor grateful for assistance
Published: July 1, 2009
While visiting Dothan last month for the Future Masters golf tournament, my son and I experienced a flat tire on the way to the golf course.
I managed to get the car off the road into a Cherolet dealership parking lot, but realized it was Sunday and nothing was open.
Luckily, the Stanley family was in the lot and offered help.
Mr. Rinkey Stanley Sr. took my son to the golf course so he would not miss the tournament. Mr. Rinkey Stanley Jr. remained with me, along with his mother, his wife and 11-month-old son, and fixed the tire. Mr. Stanley Sr. returned shortly to help finish the task in the blistering heat.
The Stanley family would not accept anything from us for their generosity. We are so grateful to all of them.
Dothan is very fortunate to have such wonderful people in the community.
