Tide gets big commitment
Stanhope Elmore standout Demarcus Milliner, the nation’s top cornerback prospect according to Scout.com, said Thursday he will play for Alabama. Milliner is the second five-star player to commit to the Crimson Tide, joining quarterback Phillip Sims of Chesapeake, Va.
He is also the 14th Alabama commitment for the 2010 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound star from Millbrook has been timed at 4.35 seconds in the 40.
Vigor’s Jalston Fowler, a four-star commitment to Alabama, is considered the No. 1 fullback prospect in the nation.
