Teams at this Pro Day were the Redskins, Cowboys, Chargers, Bills, Jets, Texans, Bears, Panthers and Ravens. Most heights are rounded to the nearest inch. Bench press reps (BP) are how many times a player benched a 225-pound bar. Vertical jump (VJ) is how high they jumped in inches, and the 40-yard dash is the most common sprint test.

Some guys didn’t do the bench press for various reasons, such as a wrist injury.

WR Kennard Burton (5’6 and a half, 176). BP=14, 40=4.38, VJ=37
DT Maurice Coleman (6’0, 295) BP=didn’t bench, 40=5.18, VJ=27
CB Trevor Ford (5’11, 186) BP=didn’t bench, 40=4.45, VJ=37
DT Dion Gales (6’4, 274) BP=15, 40=4.96, VJ=28
OL Chris Jamison (6’2, 316) BP=33, 40=4.95, VJ=28.5
DL Kenny Mainor (6’3, 222) BP=17, 40=4.68, VJ=33.5
DB Sherrod Martin (6’1, 194) BP=didn’t bench, 40=4.45, VJ=37
DT Steve McClendon (6’0, 302) BP=31, 40=5.15, VJ=29.5
DB Terence Moore (6’0, 217) BP=21, 40=4.7, VJ=38
RB Xavier Moreland (5’10 and a half, 189) BP=17, 40=4.37, VJ=41
OL Wes Potter (6’4, 321) BP=29, 40=5.47, VJ=23.5
OL Dion Small (6’2, 316) BP=25, 40=5.07, VJ=29.5
WR Gerald Tate (5’8, 183) BP=9, 40=4.6, VJ=35
LS Derick Thomas (6’2, 239) BP=didn’t bench, 40=5.26, VJ=23.5
WR Fred Turner (5’8, 186) BP=17, 40=4.55, VJ=32.5
DB Tavares Williams (6’0, 203) BP=didn’t bench, 40=4.75, VJ=33.5

Two former Trojans were there as well. Josh Allen, who finished in 07, took another stab at it. He was in the Patriots camp but broke his foot. They brought him back, but he wasn’t in shape because he couldn’t run. Also, Anthony Jones, a running back who transferred to Jacksonville State, was there. Other players with no Trojan ties there were WR John Halman of Concordia and RB David McCants of North Alabama.

WR Josh Allen (5’11, 192) BP=14, 40=I didn’t get it, VJ=35.5
RB Anthony Jones (6’0, 213) BP=17, 40=4.55, VJ=33.5

VIDEO 5 - Perhaps the most impressive performer Thursday was Xavier Moreland

VIDEO 6 - Steve McClendon was healthy last season for the first time in a while and was a big performer on the bench press.

VIDEO 7 - Chris Jamison and Dion Small were all-conference offensive tackles. They’re making the transition to guard/center for the pros.

Later, I ran into some familiar faces

VIDEO 8 - Do you remember Josh Allen? Wide receiver, had a pretty good senior year in 2007. He also had big dreads and facial hair. I didn’t recognize him, though I did remember him. Went to the Patriots camp but had a fracture in his foot that hurt him. Now a corrections officer in Montgomery and married with a 1-year-old girl (in the video), here he is

VIDEO 9 - And finally, Leodis McKelvin.
