Alabama continues to fight some flu while it prepares for Florida International.
Tide coach Nick Saban said Mark Ingram missed practice due to illness on Wednesday. Ingram’s roommate, Star Jackson, has fought flu-like symptoms a couple days earlier.
“As soon as one gets sick, we try to start treating the other,” the coach said. “Hopefully, Mark is not going to be as bad as Star was.”
Ingram rushed for 150 yards and scored two touchdowns in the season opening win over Virginia Tech last Saturday. Saban said Ingram is expected to play Saturday.
How’s this for irony? Brandon Deaderick missed practice due to a death in his family.
Alabama added to its list of commitments Wednesday morning when defensive lineman Alfy Hill from West Brunswick High School in North Carolina picked the Tide over North Carolina.
Hill is rated the No. 4 prospect in that state, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The 6-4, 245-pound senior is the 20th commitment in Alabama’s 2010 recruiting class.
