AU coaches like what they see

Auburn has received a handful of football commitments this week, and not because of hitting the highways across the country.
Instead, the players have been handpicked from a two-day senior camp on campus.
And while most of these aren’t 4 and 5 star prospects by most recruiting experts, they are players Auburn coaches had a chance to see up close while they went through drills, and obviously liked what they saw.
Football camps held on campuses across America do give the coaches a chance to get a real look at a prospect instead of relying on game film or an in-person visit to a game or two.
So if you are an Auburn fan, I suggest you don’t get caught up in the star ratings of these latest commitments. Instead, rely on the evaluations of the coaches as they watched these guys work.
Tommy Tuberville and Co. have a pretty good track record of recognizing players who can contribute on the level Auburn is accustomed to playing.
They know what Auburn needs much more than any recruiting analyst or rabid fan does.
