Scrimmage set for Saturday

Auburn is scheduled to hold its first full scrimmage on Saturday, and it will be extremely interesting to see how the quarterback battle between Kodi Burns, Neil Caudle and Barrett Trotter progresses.
It’s a shame that Chris Todd isn’t in the mix as of now as he continues to battle back from shoulder surgery. I would like to see him get a legitimate shot if he gets his arm strong enough after trying to play last year through the pain.
Burns and Caudle have basically been getting equal reps with the first-teamers, and you’ve got to feel good for Caudle finally getting a strong look. He’s always sort of been in the background during his time there, but I’ve got a feeling he may make a real push against Burns for the starting nod.
Sounds like Ben Tate is having a heck of a spring thus far. I believe the senior-to-be running back will have a big year for the Tigers this season.
