Recruiting success

Gene Chizik and Co. get a Gold star for producing a strong recruiting class after getting a late start following the coaching transition.
Picking up receiver DeAngelo Benton was big, if he can make the grades and put on an Auburn uniform. Twice an LSU signee who couldn’t make it in grade-wise, Benton now will get a chance at making it at Auburn. If he has everything in order, he could be a difference-maker for the Tigers on offense. There are other nice pick-ups, like running back Onterio McCalebb and linebacker Eltoro Freeman - both who should contribute immediately. And I give the new coaches credit for signing up Alabama’s Mr. Football Clint Moseley, a quarterback from a small school that most shied away from. I remember another Mr. Football who was ignored by most, but went on to have a successful career at Auburn. That was Brandon Cox. Who knows? Moseley could be the same type leader for the Tigers one day.
