Tuberville has a little fun

OK, so Tommy Tuberville had a little fun following a flag football game in the Middle East last week. He threw up seven fingers - as in practicing what he may do if Auburn beats Alabama for a seventh straight time this season. Of course it rubbed some Alabama fans the wrong way, and that’s certainly understandable. Nobody wants the enemy rubbing it in. Tuberville said he’s just having some fun, enjoying the win streak while it’s ongoing. Who can blame him? The Bama folks will have their fun in due time. Word of the seven fingers in the air certainly got the Alabama and Auburn folks talking, but that’s nothing new. It’s made for more chatter on the Internet message boards and radio talk shows than anything else concerning Tuberville’s trip with four other college coaches to visit with U.S. military personnel. Folks in this state talk Tiger and Tide football practically every day of the week. And quite frankly, things such as the Tuberville gesture just gets us all fired up for the upcoming football season even more.
So bring it on Tubs. And Nick Saban, you’re certainly welcomed to add some fuel to the fire when you’re ready.
There’s nothing like a little Iron Bowl chit-chat on a hot summer day.
