Tubs on the defense

Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville addressed rumors during his Monday press conference, apparently just to clear the air and let folks know he intends to be at Auburn for a long time.
Of course how the season plays out, and those who make the decisions at Auburn, will ultimately decide how long Tuberville will be around.
Things obviously have gone sour on Tuberville so far this year, but here’s believing he’s still got plenty of time to get things back on solid footing in the next couple of weeks.
How Auburn performs in its final two games, against Georgia and Alabama, will tell us a lot.
I believe Tuberville deserves to be back unless things fall completely apart. He’s proven his worth as a coach over the years, and shouldn’t be pushed out after one poor season.
But stranger things have happened, and Tuberville is on the hotseat.
He can cool it if his team responds in a positive manner in the coming weeks, starting with Thursday night’s game at West Virginia.
