The weather is nice, so why not go for a walk in the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens? Check out all the creative scarecrows that were put together by local businesses, schools and groups. If you can’t make it in person, take a look at some of this year’s entrys here.

Here’s something going on next weekend that sounds like fun.
They have yummy food, a rock band and the event is a fundraiser for the school.
Ashford Academy will hold a fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5-9 p.m.
Tickets are being presold for BBQ plates. The plates will be $7 and consist of pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans, bread, and tea. There will also be hot dog dinners available for the kids.
TNT Inflatables will be there with lots of jumping fun for the kids. We will have a silent auction with guns, four wheelers, and a variety of items for the outdoorsman. Bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy the band “The Chill Factor,“ who plays Southern rock and classic country.
This is a major fundraiser for Ashford Academy.
Entry is $5, but children under 12 are free. There will be a drawing for the Falcon Fundraiser tickets.
The three prizes drawn for will be $3,000 for first prize, $2,000 for second prize, and $1,000 for third prize.
Falcon Fundraiser tickets can be purchased from any Ashford Academy student or during the festival. BBQ plate tickets can be purchased at Ashford Academy,
Broadway Cafe, or All-In-One all located in Ashford; or DaisyRae’s in Dothan.
For more information, call the school at 899-3286
