Here’s the latest news from Honeysuckle Middle School:

Honeysuckle Middle School hosted the Troy University’s AMSTI (Alabama, Math, Science, and Technology Initiative) workshop on June 16-27.  AMSTI is a State initiative that provides inquiry-based, hands-on training in math and science for kindergarten through twelth grade teachers.  Approximately 400 teachers from Troy’s Regional In-Service district participated in this workshop.

During this two-week workshop, Honeysuckle’s faculty, staff and PTO along with several area restaurants provided lunch for the trainers and the AMSTI staff, as well as snack foods, coffee, and other refreshments each day of the workshop.  Students from Dothan High School volunteered their time to host a snack room for the participating teachers.
