Sen. Smith will make statement on bingo bill

Sen. Harri Anne Smith, R-Slocomb, has informed the media she will be making a statement at 1:30 p.m. today (Monday) at her headquarters concerning SB572, the bill she sponsored in the Alabama Legislature that would put the charitable bingo issue on the November ballot. She gave no indication as to what her statement will be.

Wooohoo,Think Ms Smith heard alot from people that want Country Crossings…..I am so happy for all of Alabama,for this will help all the people to have a great place too go…..

Finally she speaks the TRUTH! The ‘people’ of Houston County do want Country Crossing. The ‘people’ of Houston County do support their elected commissioners to make sound judgements for them. The people can make their choice to play bingo or not, just like the same people make that choice to purchase a lottery ticket or not. Way to go Country Crossing… when is the ground breaking!?!

Well either she’s gonna stay steadfastly committed to the bill or pull the bill and try to save face. Either way folks, she permanently lost my vote, for either Alabama Senate, state Governor, or U.S. Congress!! Perhaps when she’s more concerned about her constituents and less concerned with desperately wanting to be a professional politician, she may regain my vote.
