Hulett, Wyoming comes alive

I would be horribly remiss if I didn’t tell you how beautiful Wyoming is. Gone is the black dirt of South Dakota. This is red dirt country, lots of trees and green, green pastures. I am amazed at how you can drive for miles and not see a house. A lot farmer emailed me earlier this week and said he farms 20,000 acres. A relative farms 50,000-plus. Can you imagine?!

Traveling becomes a challenge because there is one paved road there and one paved back, to a number of destinations. Lots and lots of unpaved roads.

After visiting Devil’s Tower yesterday we made a loop back through Ava, Wyoming and Hulett. These are towns with 50, 200, people. Their populations, like Sturgis, increase a thousand percent during this rally. Folks in Wyoming are crazy. Love to have a good time!

Lots of curvy roads. It is tricky driving for a novice. I am heading out on my scooter today. If it gets hairy, I will park it.

Later,
Deb
