wEaRy Experience update

A couple of weeks ago I posted a blog entry titled Weary ER Experience. It was about an experience I had at the Ozark hospital with my little boy. Since then, southern hospitality and sincerity have ringed through: an official with the Ozark ER department called today and listened to my concerns, with hopes they could be addressed.
It was something the official didn’t have to do. That’s the kind of spirit of concern so many hospitals advertise by offering patient surveys. And it’s the kind of spirit most people want in action.
Everyone makes mistakes and people are human – believe me, I know. I also come from a family full of LPN’s, nurses’ assistants and one RN. Another was a CNA for several years.
Because people are human, however, is no license to bring unprofessionalism to work, so the entry (as I stated toward the end) was more so to address a particular incident with hopes it would get better for others in the future, as well as to get others involved with the blog by talking about their experiences.
My goal for this blog entry is for others to take note of the class of people, as the concerned official from the ER who called, who acknowledge problems and address them as necessary.
Those are the type of people others would want taking care of them.

Ozark police searching for robbery suspect

By Ebony Horton

Ozark police say a store full of shoppers never noticed a robber with a gun who came into Dollar Tree, near Wendy’s, on Wednesday night and demanded the clerk and the manager go to the back of the store.
Now investigators are piecing together all they can. As of 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Ozark Deputy Police Chief Myron Williams said they believed the suspect was a dark complexion, black man with a mole on the right side of his face. The man is believed to be about 6’1,” Williams said.
According to Williams, the man came to the cashier’s counter with products and produced a gun around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday before demanding the cashier get the manager who was a few feet away. Williams said the man then forced both women into the back of the store at gunpoint before escaping with an unknown amount of currency.
The manager called police when she believed the robber had left, Williams said.
“The shocking thing was so many customers were there but didn’t know what was going on. But maybe some of them have seen a vehicle that would stand out in mind. That’s what we need to know,” Williams said.
Williams said it is possible the robber may be linked to other robberies in the Wiregrass.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ozark Crimestoppers at (334) 774-9999.
