Dale County superintendent Phillip Parker is expected to recommend re-introducing drivers education into the school system’s cirriculum at tonight’s board meeting at 5 p.m. The class was knocked from the curriculum about five years ago when the system faced financial problems. Parker made the recommendation a few weeks ago but the board voted against it, citing a need to wait on what the state’s education budget would be.
State legislators went into special session today.

Well, hello to all of my faithful and first-time readers. I’ve been slack a few days, but I wanted to inform you that things should be back on board today as far as posting. We had a technical difficulty with an advertisement roll-down (which still isn’t completely fixed at the time I’m posting this blog), and I also did not post on the holiday.
Today you can expect police reports and later, there will likely be the Dale County Commission’s vote on whether to approve a resolution in favor of a toll road coming through the county. I’ve not seen the agenda yet, so I’m not completely certain if it will come up tonight.
The meeting is at 4:30 p.m. (working session) and 6 p.m. at the Dale County Government Building in Ozark on Highway 231, behind Kangaroo, if anyone wants to come.
