Murder on Wilson Avenue

Authorities say a man was killed on Wilson Avenue on Wednesday evening. No other details were available besides the fact it was a domestic incident.
The suspect was in custody.

Hendricks to close, then reopen under new ownership

First Cruise-in to be held in downtown Ozark

The first Downtown Ozark Cruise In will be held on the square on Friday, June 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Cruise cars, trucks and motor cycles may start parking on the square at 5 p.m.

A Cruise In is when classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles, or modified vehicles come and park on the square.  The drivers display their vehicle and are nearby to tell people about them.  More
Page 2 – Downtown Ozark Cruise In

Following the Cruise In, 30 minutes after dark, there will be a free Elvis Presley movie, Viva Las Vegas, shown on the square.  This movie will be shown in the vacant lot next to the Ann Rudd Art Museum. 

There will be five trophies given away to the cruise cars.  The categories are: Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, and Longest Distance Traveled.  The Ozark City Council will be judging the cars.

Gilland Chevrolet Pontiac GMC and CenturyTel are sponsoring the Cruise In and Elvis Presley movie.  Gilland Chevrolet Pontiac GMC will have a display of cars at the Cruise In.

Page 3 – Downtown Ozark Cruise In
Fifties and Sixties music will be playing during the Cruise In, and lots of door prizes will be given away during the Cruise In.  People may register for the door prize when they come to the Cruise In and they must be present to win.

Many Downtown Ozark merchants plan to keep their stores open during the Cruise In and have special Cruise In Sales.

The Carroll High School Band Booster will have a concession stand on the square.  Many Ozark restaurants will be open this Friday night too.  The Farmers Market will be located on the square during the Cruise In selling fresh produce.

Bring your lawn chairs to the Cruise In, and use them for the free movie too.  This promises to be a great family fun night in Downtown Ozark.
