OZARK - A man charged with the capital murder of a Level Plains man had met the victim at least once before the killing, authorities said on Tuesday.
Jarmon Demetrius Barrow, 23, was charged with capital murder. Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson said Barrow is believed to have used a 9 mm handgun to kill 43-year-old Marcus Blackmon on Sunday during an invasion of Blackmon’s residence.
Authorities said Barrow and and two other men entered the residence demanding the location of drugs and money. The men looked through the residence, but there was no evidence that they took anything, Olson said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (334) 774-2335.
