Don’t forget to vote!

Despite how boring of a race you think this is, how crazy you believe the candidates are, how ill-informed you think you’ve been, how silly or non-productive you believe politicians are, or how much you think your vote does not count, absolutely every political office within the state can directly or indirectly affect you and your children in some way. Just think about it Dale Countians, had Dothan not raised its sales tax, do you think some of the local municipalities would have taken the lead? Had Houston County not approved the toll road, would Dale County commissioners have done so? If you have or have not been satisfied with the work of state Sen. Harri Anne Smith, don’t you think you should let your voice be heard?
So there’s about four hours left. If you haven’t already, go vote!

The wife and I voted at the Civic Center.  We were quite surprised to see the antiquated ballots they were using.  I presume it makes it faster coloring the arrows, but I like the machines much better that are used in Georgia.  I speculate my tax dollars are used to build toll roads to I-10, acquire cameras for the Sheriffs helicopter and things of that nature.
