Ozark councilman asks about changing jurisdiction lines

A story may follow soon, but I just wanted to write about city councilman Joe Outlaw contemplating changing Ozark Police Jurisdiction lines. I believe now the line is five miles outside of the city limits. Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey said officers responded to more than 1,000 calls outside of the City of Ozark for assistance since January.
The Fire Department already only serves within Ozark.
So far, it doesn’t appear any other council members would be in favor of the change, although council president Mike Barefield said it could be reviewed.
