For fast food, nothing beats Bojangles’
Sometimes, you need food on the go.
That’s the premise that keeps places like McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC doing such booming business.
In Dothan, however, there is a real king on top of the greasy-food heap, and its name is Bojangles’.
If you haven’t had the privilege of going to this chicken-themed fast food joint, it is known for having the fastest service in town, not to mention the friendliest.
I decided to put those claims to the test Monday night, going through the famed Bojangles’ drive-thru. Within a few moments of arriving to the speaker, the woman on the other end kindly asked for my order. I was particularly hungry, so I ordered the Monday special, a southern filet sandwich combo and a Cajun filet biscuit.
By the time I got to the second window, my food and drink were already waiting for me.
For the measly cost of $8, I got more than a meal’s worth of food.
Given the choice of a side item, I chose the seasoned French fries, but I can also heartily endorse the dirty rice.
The southern filet sandwich was good, though it had a bit too much mayonnaise on it for my taste.
The fries were quite tasty, but the real treat was the Cajun filet biscuit.
Of all the numerous items I’ve had at Bojangles’ over the last two years, this is the coup de grace.
It’s got all the spice of the Cajun filet sandwich mixed with the buttery goodness of Bojangles’ biscuits. It may not be the healthiest meal, but it sure is tasty.
If you’re like me, constantly on the road, there’s no better quick fix than Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits.
