SAMC mobile health unit provides screenings

The Southeast Alabama Medical Center’s mobile health screening unit will make visits in communities in the tri-state area during May. All tests are insurance filed. The screenings include: Mammograms for breast cancer, PSA for prostate cancer and fecal occult blood kits for colon cancer. Vascular screenings include cholesterol, glucose (no fasting required), blood pressure, body mass index, height and waist measurement with assessment. Health education programs also provided.
