The Dale County Council of Arts and Humanities in Ozark invites area photographers, age 18 or older, to enter a Photography Show, slated for Feb. 20-March 26.

Prizes will be awarded — first place, $125; second place, $75; and third place, $50. Photographs can be color or black and white, but must be framed properly with glass or plexi, mat and wire. No work will be accepted that is not framed per art center standards. Photographers are encouraged to be original, creative and resonant. All entries must be original photographs, done within the years 2008, 2009 or 2010. No computer generated imagery will be accepted, only the subject matter as seen through the viewfinder of a digital or film camera.

Minor digital enhancement is permitted; images may be cropped and resized. Spot editing and use of filter to sharpen, soften, blur, despeckle are permitted. Use of corrective functions to improve the natural appearance of the image, such as levels, contrast, brightness, curves, intensity, tone, hue, saturation, lightness, value, color balance, and tint are permitted.

Adding or replacing elements in an image is not permitted. Artistic filters are not permitted.

Photographers should bring entries to the Dowling Museum on Feb. 13 from 1-4 p.m. Entry fee is $25 for one piece, $5 each for others, up to three pieces. The museum will retain a 20-percent commission on any sales. The Dowling Museum-Ann Rudd Art Center is located on the square in downtown Ozark. An entry form can be downloaded from http://www.ruddartcenter.org.
