Grimes Gospel Lighthouse, County Road 25, will hold a gospel sing on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. Guest will be Rhon Paul Ministry from Edwin, Ala. “Meet Lottie Moon,” a dramatization of the life of the famous Southern Baptist foreign missionary, will be presented by Gail Hartzog on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Cedar Springs Baptist Church near Ashford. Dinner will follow. Hartzog is the associate dean of development and planning at Chipola College and visits churches each Christmas season to perform her monologue on Charlotte “Lottie” Digges Moon, a missionary who served 40 years in China and who died in 1912.

First Church of the Nazarene in Ozark will hold a free instrumental concert on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m., featuring Bob Camp on violin, Carl Gassett on guitar, and the Rev. Tim Hullett and Vearl Peters on piano.

An interfaith Thanksgiving worship service will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., in Dothan. All area clergy are invited to process into the sanctuary together. An offering will be taken for the Wiregrass United Way Food Bank during the service.

The Geneva Baptist Association “M” Night will be Nov. 24, at 6:45 p.m. at Maple Avenue Church. David Hope will share a Biblical Drama Emmanuel, God with Us, a complete Christmas story of God as he makes the different Biblical characters come alive through the drama. Jason Gunter and members of Maple will lead in inspirational singing. Banners will be awarded.

Dothan Vineyard Church, 150 Bethlehem Road, Dothan, will provide free Thanksgiving meals to the community to help in the current tight economy. Meals will be in boxed take-out style, and families in genuine financial need should call and reserve meals. New Home Baptist Church of Enterprise will host A Night in Bethlehem from Wednesday, Dec. 3, through Saturday, Dec. 6, from 6:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. A Night in Bethlehem is a 45-minute guided tour and interactive experience that features actors in costumes, live animals, foods to sample and free souvenirs. The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville will host Holiday Homecoming at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in the Heritage Village located on Sanders Avenue. Activities will include cane grinding, quilt making, caroling, crafts, chili supper and ham biscuits. A concert by the combined college choirs and the choir from Holy Nativity Episcopal Christian School in Panama City, Fla., will perform The Gospel of Christmas in the R.G. Lee Chapel beginning at 8 p.m. the same day. The third annual sheriff’s Christmas gospel concert will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Marianna High School auditorium, 3546 Caverns Road in Marianna, Fla. Featured groups include The Inspirations of Bryson City, N.C., and the Bibletones of Gulfport, Miss. An offering will be received. Proceeds go to the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.

A Drive-Through Live Nativity will be held at St. Luke United Methodist Church, located between Alberta Street and Heath Street in Enterprise near the football stadium, on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13-14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nine different scenes will depict Jesus’ birth and the events surrounding it with biblical characters in costume, scenery and live animals.
