“Smoke on the Mountain” will be presented at the Ozark Civic Center on Aug. 14-15 at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will go toward renovations at the Flowers Center for the Performing Arts in Ozark. Landmark Park’s annual Low Country Boil fundraiser will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. in the park’s Stokes Activity Barn. A low country boil is a one-pot dish that typically includes shrip, corn on the cob, sausage, potatoes and onions. Local bluegrass band Pure and Simple will provide musical entertainment. Kids are welcome and will have a chance to explore The Barnyard playground and go on a horse-drawn wagon ride. Hot dogs will be provided. Tickets are $60 per person ($50 per person for park members). A limited amount of reserved tables of eight are also available, with the option of sitting under the tent or inside the barn. Seating for individuals is first come/first serve.
