SATURDAY, SEPT. 6
ART
The First Saturday Family Day will be held at the Wiregrass Museum of Art on Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m. Kids and their families can come for free art lessons.

MUSIC
The Wiregrass Museum’s Yard Party for Art will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, in the museum’s gardens. The annual museum fundraiser will feature The Circle City Rollers. Gates open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Must be 18 to enter.

THEATER
The Featured Players Theatre, 158 S. Foster St. in downtown Dothan, will be presenting the Samuel Beckett classic “Waiting For Godot” Fridays and Saturdays in September, beginning Sept. 12. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults; $6 for children. For reservations, call 673-1243.

DANCE
The Southwest Georgia Regional Library presents “So You Think You Can Dance” at the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library on Friday, Sept. 12, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Youth ages 11 to 17 will be able to play Dance Dance Revolution on a PlayStation 2. Call (229) 248.2665, ext. 114, for information.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 18
ART & MUSIC
Art After Hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Wiregrass Museum of Art from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The season finale of the series will include live music, hors d’oeuvres and a chilled glass of wine. Music will be provided by Wigatron, a Birmingham band that plays blues and funk. Cost is $5 per person and free for museum members.

MUSIC
Local bluegrass band Pure and Simple will play at the ninth annual Low Country Boil fundraiser for Landmark Park at the park’s Stokes Activity Barn on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person ($50 per person for park members). A limited amount of reserved tables of eight are also available, with the option of sitting under the tent or inside the barn. Tables are $450 ($400 for members).

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at the park. Dress is casual. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the park at 794-3452.
