THEATER
The Featured Players Theatre, 158 S. Foster St. in downtown Dothan, will be presenting the Samuel Beckett classic “Waiting For Godot” Fridays and Saturdays in September, beginning Friday, Sept. 12. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults; $6 for children. For reservations, call 673-1243.
DANCE
The Southwest Georgia Regional Library presents “So You Think You Can Dance” at the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library on Friday, Sept. 12, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Youth ages 11 to 17 will be able to play Dance Dance Revolution on a PlayStation 2. Call (229) 248.2665, ext. 114, for information.
THEATER
Opus Nostrum Theatre, 115 W. Church St. in Headland, will present “Cheating Cheaters” by John Patrick, beginning Friday, Sept. 12. The play, which surrounds two middle-aged sisters impersonating nuns to raise money to cover the costs of an art school, will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays through Sept. 27. A dinner will be catered by Bishop’s Home Style Cooking
The dinner and play costs $25. Seating is from 6:30 p.m.m to 6:45 p.m. For reservations, call 693-0846.

MUSIC
Live music at Herman’s Billiards, 110 E. Crawford St. in downtown Dothan, on Saturday, Sept. 13, featuring Avarice, A Tragic Victory, The Gametes and Happy Times. Admission is $8; music starts at 8 p.m.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 18
ART & MUSIC
Art After Hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Wiregrass Museum of Art from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The season finale of the series will include live music, hors d’oeuvres and a chilled glass of wine. Music will be provided by Wigatron, a Birmingham band that plays blues and funk. Cost is $5 per person and free for museum members.
MUSIC
Local bluegrass band Pure and Simple will play at the ninth annual Low Country Boil fundraiser for Landmark Park at the park’s Stokes Activity Barn on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person ($50 per person for park members). A limited amount of reserved tables of eight are also available, with the option of sitting under the tent or inside the barn. Tables are $450 ($400 for members).

The Wiregrass Museum of Art will continue its series of public discussions called Blow Your Mind on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. with “Legendary Tombstones: Where the Dead Speak” by Alan Brown. The discussion will focus on 19th and 20th century Alabama. The event is free.

TUESDAY, OCT. 14
THEATER
Southeast Alabama Community Theatre (SEACT) will perform “Cheatin,’” beginning Oct. 14 at the Cultural Arts Center in Dothan. A comedy set in west Texas, the production is a follow-up to “Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got the Will?).”
