The VeggieTales “God Made You Special” Live! tour will be at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church, 6000 Atlanta Highway, in Montgomery on Sunday, Oct. 5. MONDAY, OCT. 6
DANCE
Dance for Life will be held at the Dothan Opera House on Monday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. The event attempts to raise awareness about breast cancer and recognize survivors through dance. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under and are available at the box office. Proceeds benefit the Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation.

The Dothan Wiregrass Art League will have its fall “Expressions” art show Oct. 10-11 at Dothan’s Cultural Arts Center, 909 S. St. Andrews St. Admission is free, and the public is invited.

The Headland Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 37th Harvest Day Festival around the town’s square on Saturday, Oct. 11, beginning at 8:30 a.m. There will be arts and crafts, food and entertainment. An antique car show will be held the same day on Cleveland Street.

Southeast Alabama Community Theatre (SEACT) will perform “Cheatin,’” beginning Oct. 14 at the Cultural Arts Center in Dothan. The comedy is set in a small west Texas town. The show runs Oct. 14-18 and at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Cultural Arts Center at 909 S. St. Andrews St. in Dothan. Sesame Street Live “Elmo Makes Music” will be at the Marina Civic Center, 8 Harrison Ave., in Panama City, Fla., on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $12, $17 and $20. A limited number of $25 Gold Circle seats are also available. Opening night, all seats (excluding Gold Circle) are $12.
