Art ‘Til 8 will be held at the Wiregrass Museum of Art on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. Admission is $15 per person; $12 for museum members. The event is a workshop for people who can’t “do” art but love to try. Canvas, paint, brushes supplied. Cash bar available.

MUSIC
A gospel concert featuring The Greenes, Brian Free and Assurance, and Royal City will be held Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Ashford High School Auditorium. Admission is $6 and additional offerings will be accepted at the door.

David Munyon and Mary’s Band will perform at Koinonia Kaffe, located at 11 Grove St. on the square in Headland, on Friday, Jan. 16, at 6 p.m.

The Ebony Fashion Fair will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Dothan Convention Center, 4106 Ross Clark Circle. Tickets are $30. The traveling fashion show, sponsored by Ebony magazine, will also include door prizes awarded during intermission.

“Always ... Patsy Cline,” will be performed at the Flowers Center, 312 E. College St., Ozark, on Jan. 17 and Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. Price is $16. For ticket information, call 263-9283.

The Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge and Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Trojan Center Theater at Troy University in Troy at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for the Friday show, which includes pre-show music, supper and dessert. Saturday tickets are $10 for the morning and afternoon concerts and $15 for the evening concert. The festival, sponsored by the Brundidge Historical Society, will feature storytellers Donald Davis, Kathryn Tucker Windham, Carmen Deedy and Bil Lepp. Tickets can be purchased at Rue’s Antiques or by calling 735-3125.

Cowboy Junkies will perform at the UAB Alys Stephens Center in Birmingham on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. as part of the On Stage With the Band at the ASC series, which includes seats on the stage and in the choral balcony above the stage. Tickets are $38 on stage and $28 for the balcony, general admission for each area. A complimentary wine tasting will begin at 6 p.m., and lead singer Margo Timmons will meet fans after the show. The African Children’s Choir will perform at the Dothan Civic Center on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m. The choir consists of children ages 7 to 11, some come from needy families in East African countries. Adult tickets cost $26 in advance or $31 the day of the show; student and college tickets are $19 in advance or $24 day of show; and groups of 20 or more can get in for $16 with advance tickets.
