The Catfish Festival will be held Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at George T. Bagby State Park in Fort Gaines, Ga. Festival will feature catfish plates, bluegrass music, arts and crafts vendors, petty zoo, pony rides, hay rides, pontoon boat rides and a youth fishing rodeo. The state park is in southwest Georgia, located 3.5 miles north of Fort Gaines off Highway 39 on Lake Walter F. George, also known as Lake Eufaula. Parking is $3. Friends of Fendall Hall in Eufaula will host a Garden Festival on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Twelve private gardens will be open for touring. The seventh annual Lil’ Calypso Art Fest will be held Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chucks Marina on Lake Martin, 237 Marina Road in Dadeville, Ala. Live music on the deck with Bubba Hall from noon to 4 p.m. Artists will display and sell original artwork, handmade jewelry, baskets, pottery, metal work, concrete sculptures, wood work and folk art. The 2009 Tallahassee Model Railroad Show and Sale hosted by the Big Bend Model Railroad Association will be Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the North Florida Fairgrounds, building 4. Renaissance Headland and the Tri-State Community Orchestra will hold the third annual Patriotic Concert on the square in Headland on Thursday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. Performance will also feature the Headland High Community Band and local church choir members. Free admission.
