An Abbeville man faces felony drug charges after Henry County authorities found a marijuana plant and illegal steroids in his home.

Lt. Clyde Hornsby, the commander of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Abbeville Police Department’s Investigative Task Force, said investigators arrested

Michael Gene Booth, 41, at 1 a.m. Saturday and charged him with second-degree unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

A single marijuana plant growing inside Booth’s home was seized, along with a bottle with steroids inside and a second bottle with 70 unknown pills inside.

Booth was taken to the Henry County Jail and held on a $6,000 bond.
