Convicted meth trafficker faces new charge
Houston County Sheriff’s investigators charged a convicted drug trafficker Tuesday with possession of methamphetamine in Dothan.
Court records show investigators added another felony charge against James Fred Hall who was arrested last week after he allegedly led authorities on a car chase in East Dothan. Deputies originally charged Hall with three felony charges, including second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of precursor chemicals and attempted assault.
A Houston County Sheriff’s detective filed a fourth felony Tuesday of unlawful possession of a controlled substance - meth. Hall remains held in the Houston County Jail without bond. Court records show Hall pleaded guilty in 2003 to trafficking meth in Houston County.
The charges resulted from a pursuit of the white Lincoln Town car that Hall was traveling in after he failed to comply to an attempted traffic stop by Dothan police.
