Dale County deputies investigating injuries to Midland City man

Dale County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for information into how a Midland City man suffered a fractured skull Sunday.

Investigator Harvey Mathis said deputies responded to the Grimes area to the report of someone in the roadway on Canterbury Farms Road. Mathis said it’s unclear how Eric Eugene Scott, 33, suffered his injuries. Mathis said Scott was taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for treatment.

Mathis said it’s unclear whether Scott may have suffered the injury after a vehicle struck him or whether he was the victim of an assault.
