Daleville man charged second time with sexual abuse
OZARK — A Daleville man who was out of jail on bond for first-degree rape and sodomy was charged Thursday with the sodomy and sexual abuse of a three-year-old girl, according to authorities.
A press release from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office said Ashley Paul Norris, 30, of Daleville, was re-arrested Thursday and placed in the Dale County Jail under no bond.
Dale County Chief Sheriff’s Investigator Harvey Mathis said Norris was arrested by the Daleville Police Department on April 23 for rape and sodomy.
An investigation that surfaced after the girl reported abuse to another adult led to Norris’ second arrest, Mathis said.
“Once the new allegations surfaced, the Dale County Sheriff’s Office made this case a priority,” Mathis said. “Any case involving a child is a priority.“
Norris is expected to appear before a judge soon.

Why do you not currently have custody of this baby girl? I hope that your boyfriend and the biological father and all of those in this child’s life are reviewed for the child’s safety and well-being.

I agree with everyone who is outrage of the abuse of this innocent little girl. How in the world can a you as a mother Ashleysbabygirl love a monster like this? Why aren’t you protecting your daughter from him? How can you call yourself a loving mother? I wouldn’t date, live, or even have anything to do with a person who is known or even been accused of doing this to a child. I wonder who was stupid enough to sign his bond for him to be released. If any person done what he has done to that innocent little angel. I can tell you this right now he wouldn’t never make to court. I say cut his privates off and jam em down his throat. We all know that there are guys in prison who are father and don’t like guys like this P.O.S….We all know what will happen to him.
then why didn’t you go to children and family services??? When it comes to a child they do investigate…I have to hand it to them on that and no I’m not a self righteous a**hole. I’ve been through something like this. Also did they take your daughter to the doctor this time? The doctors can tell if it was recent that this happened to your 3yr old or if it happened a long time ago..so if your so determined this guy didn’t do this take your daughter to a doctor of your own preferance..something was there to tell the doctors that something had been done recently to your daughter. I’m sorry I just don’t believe that when you took your daughter to the doctor previously they wouldn’t help you..they are by law to call children and family services and let them know that this child had been abused..then children and family services step in and investigate everyone that has been around this child..so again if you are so determined that this man has not done anything..Prove it..but, once a preditor always a preditor.
i did take her to the doctors and try to have something done but no one would listen to me. they told me there was nothing they could do because she lived with her father so if you want to throw stone you better not live in glass houses you should know the facts and quit being self centered a**holes. know whats going on before you make oppion(spelling) about others. try to have a thought process of your own
to ashleysbabygirl- i understand what you’re saying about only knowing what we read or heard but i’ve got a question. you say you knew something was wrong with your daughter for 2 years and nobody would listen, what are you talking about. i do know that for someone to be oficially charged with a crime they have pretty strong evidence against the person that points towards that person as the one who did it. they don’t just point someone out and say yea he or she did it. they do an investigation. have you taken your little girl to the dr. for an examination to prove she hasn’t been messed with? i’m sorry but i wouldn’t be within 100 miles of somebody that was accused of messing with my little girl. a matter of fact if someone messed with my little girl they wouldn’t live to tell about it.
you know I sat here and read what this little 3yr old girls mother has said..If you kept saying that there was something wrong with your daughter almost 2yrs ago why didn’t you do something about it then..take her to a doctor..something..
Let me tell you a little store Miss Thing..years ago when my daughter was 5yrs old..she was sexually abused by this JERK..that was suppose to be a close friend of the family..our children played with his daughter every afternoon..we got together every weekend and play cards..this man was great with children..YEA okay..so we thought..this Jerk..and that is putting it mildley of what he is..Not only did this monster sexually abuse my 5yr old daughter at the time..he had also abused his 2yr old daughter before doing this horrible thing to my daughter..the wife of this guy knew what he was doing and cut him off completely from their daughter never done anything about it..until the day he was arrested for doing this to my daughter..This B**** knew what he was capable of and never warned me never even said a word..this B****** was in the military at that..when It all came down to court..they treated this person’s wife like oh you poor thing..well I feel like she should have been punished also..because she knew what he was doing..he got 50 to life up for parole in 18yrs..oh yes he got out and we never knew about it until I researched it..

Thank you ashleysbabygirl for praying for me. Lord knows we all need it. I’ll pray that whatever you are going through, God will have his hand in it. I will also be praying that your eyes are not clouded or closed to anything that may be going on around you. And I will also pray for your child(ren) for their protection. I want you to put your heart in the hearts of the readers. In today’s world we are bombarded with stories and images of all the meanness and cruelty that has overtaken us because our society has done away with morals or values. So maybe we are sometimes too hasty to give our opinions when we don’t know the facts, but can you blame us? You would have said the same things if you thought like we did about the victims regardless of someone’s guilt or innocence.
