Dothan police arrest two for Papa Johns robbery attempt
Dothan police investigators arrested two men on charges they tried to rob a Papa John’s pizza restaurant Sunday night.
A Dothan police press release reported that investigators charged Damien Antwon Jackson, 22, of Dothan, and Desmond Nolan Rogers, 20, of Dothan, each with felony attempted second-degree robbery. The press release stated the men were charged with trying to rob the business located in 2000 block of Ross Clark Circle around 9:45 p.m.
District Attorney Doug Valeska said at least one of the men wore a mask, and one of them was found near Cloverdale Elementary School.
Police said one of the men was caught during a traffic stop, and the second was found hiding behind a local school. Both men were taken to the Houston County Jail and held on a $15,000 bond.
