A Dothan man on bond for a felony marijuana charge faces an additional felony drug charge after Dothan police investigators arrested him Tuesday, according to Dothan City records.
Police arrested Anwar Kareem Hasan of Ruth Street and charged him with first-degree receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Houston County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
Investigators charged Hasan with driving a stolen Chevrolet Caprice, said Officer Thomas Davis, a spokesperson for the Dothan Police Department.
“He was speeding and everything. I believe when they were checking that it come up as a stolen vehicle,” Davis said.
Hasan was previously charged in November 2007 with felony first-degree possession of marijuana, according to court records. He was released on the previous charge after he posted a $1,000 bond.
