Man charged with sexually abusing elderly female nursing home patients

Ozark Police have a arrested a 65-year-old man and charged him with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse after a nursing home employee saw him fondling two elderly residents.
Michael Patrick Magrath, 65, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and placed in the Dale County Jail under a $30,000 bond, according to a written release from Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey. According to Spivey, Magrath was visiting Ozark Health and Rehabilitation on Bryan Drive in Ozark when the incidents are believed to have occurred.
Spivey said the residents are females aged 88 and 89. Spivey said Magrath confessed to the crimes while being interviewed by the Wiregrass Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force.
Spivey said the investigation is ongoing.
