A former soldier was sentenced to three years supervised probation Thursday after pleading guilty to failure to register as a sex offender and failure to give notice of a change of residence.
Brian Lee Carroll, 26, of Enterprise was indicted in June of last year on charges that he, after pleading no contest at a military court-martial for indecent sexual assault and having been discharged from the Air Force as an adult criminal sex offender, failed to register with the sheriff of Coffee County within seven days, as required by law, according to a written release from the Alabama Attorney General’s Office.
