Federal agents arrest former Dothan resident on robbery charge
Federal agents arrested a former Dothan resident who was wanted in the armed robbery of a Dothan cash advance store.
Ricky Everhart was arrested Monday afternoon after he apparently led investigators on a brief foot chase near Nashville, Tenn.
Dothan Police Capt. Larry Draughon said Everhart, 53, was arrested after federal officers acted on a tip they received out of the FBI office in Dothan on Monday.
Draughon said officers with the U.S. Marshals Service along with the FBI had been looking for Everhart. Everhart was wanted on a warrant charging him with first-degree robbery of Advance America. Draughon said Everhart was the only alleged suspect in the armed robbery on Nov. 15, which is on South Oates Street near the southside Wal-Mart.
